This carrier will invest more than $800 million in cabin overhauls to modernize its long-haul fleet. The new and renovated cabins will promise higher-level comfort to passengers traveling through international routes.

This upgrade marks the most ambitious of several upgrades the carrier will roll out to its cabins over the course of the next few years. The new comfort will feature the latest designs as well as modern technologies, setting up the standard for luxury and comfort when on board.

The multi-million dollar revamp will result in improvements in the economy, premium, and first classes. It is of foremost importance that there is an emphasis on passengers’ comfort and privacy and, more importantly, provision for luxury features in these cabins. This type of upgrade can only appeal to business travelers as well as leisure travelers in search of a more commodious experience in flight as airlines become conscious of increasing customer satisfaction levels to stay ahead in the highly competitive long-haul market.

New seats are another element of the renovation project and will guarantee ample legroom and ergonomic support for the most relaxing experience, even on the world’s longest flights. Those seated in economy class can also boast better legroom, as cushioning has improved in that respect.

Long-haul economy travelers are sure to welcome these improvements, for they’ve been the largest contributors to grievances made by passengers over long distances. There will be advanced in-flight entertainment systems on every seat; the screens will be in high definition, with the movie and television show collection more extensive, and passengers have much more customized choices to personalize their experience.

Premium economy and business class passengers will have enhanced privacy. New seat designs would have partial or full enclosures that would offer an additional private experience.

Business class seats will have lie-flat beds, enhanced bedding, and extra storage space so that passengers feel comfortable and come on board restful and ready for their adventures. Another addition is a new dining service with cuisines of different kinds prepared by chefs-think enjoyable dining on board of course.

It will be the most transformed part-first-class cabin because cabins will include private suites with fully enclosed doors, plush seating, and sufficient desk space for business travelers. Also, these suites would be designed with the best in technology, offering passengers wireless charging stations, adjustable mood lighting, and very fast Wi-Fi during the trip. The cabin will also have a new aesthetic design with premium finishes and materials for a refined and serene feel at 35,000 feet.

Cabin upgrade is part of the airline’s overall plan to strengthen its international operations and attract more premium travelers. As the pandemic scales back for the travel industry, several airlines have focused on long-haul routes as key sources of revenue. The changes should attract more customers and increase loyalty while setting it apart from others in the global market. The top executives are confident that this cabin improvement will attract both new customers and frequent flyers on the route, thereby raising demand and increasing profitability on such routes.

To date, the airline hasn’t indicated exactly when these enhancements are going to be implemented but does promise that it will start rolling out improvements across the coming year and says it will be done with all of them within several years. Almost all the long-haul airplanes that are currently in its fleet, regardless of their age, will get upgraded constantly.

All of these cabin upgrades indicate the commitment of the airline to delivering a world-class experience and investing in the future of long-haul travel with evolved passenger expectations.
