LEGOLAND The first-ever LEGO Festival is to take place at resorts worldwide from May 3 through June 11, 2025. This six-week celebration is designed to give kids and families a first-hand experience that reiterates the value of play in a child’s life.

A Global Celebration Across Seven Resorts

The LEGO Festival 2025 will be held at seven LEGOLAND Resorts: Billund (Denmark), California and Florida (USA), Deutschland (Germany), Korea, New York (USA), and Windsor (UK). Each of the locations will be turned into a colorful playground with special activities to inspire and captivate guests of all ages.

Five Immersive Play Zones

At the heart of the festival are five unique play zones, each designed to stimulate various types of play and imagination:

  • Music Zone: Kids can play with a selection of instruments, make music, and be a part of interactive musical performances, developing a sense of rhythm and sound.
  • Creativity Zone: This zone has LEGO building workshops and challenges in which participants can build their own creations and see their imaginations become reality.
  • Dance Zone: An energetic place where families can dance, learn new steps, and experience the sheer happiness of movement in a happy, lively setting.
  • Gaming Zone: Integrating physical and virtual play, this area has activities and games that challenge problem-solving abilities and foster collaboration.
  • Chill-Out Zone: Laid-back and relaxing, this space offers a quiet atmosphere where families can relax, participate in storytelling sessions, and appreciate LEGO-themed botanical exhibits.

These areas are carefully crafted to accommodate different interests so that all visitors have something pleasurable and rewarding.

The Play Pact Initiative

One of the festival’s highlights is the “Play Pact,” an international campaign urging families to make a pledge to put play at the top of their daily agenda. In exchange for every Play Pact taken, the LEGO Group and Merlin Entertainments will provide play opportunities for disadvantaged children and families at LEGOLAND Resorts around the globe. The campaign underscores the festival’s mission to make the play available to all, affirming that play is a right for every child.

Aligning with World Play Day

The festival peak on June 11 also coincides with World Play Day, which is a celebration of the UN-endorsed International Day of Play. This coincidence emphasizes the festival’s goal of bringing attention to the essential role of play in developing creativity, social skills, and learning in children.

A Response to Decreasing Playtime

There has been evidence of playtime reduction in children around the world, where children spend fewer hours playing during a week compared to adults using their smartphones every day. LEGO’s “Play is Your Superpower” initiative tries to meet this challenge by encouraging families to give priority to play, underlining its role in childhood and family bonding.

Exclusive LEGO Builds and Merchandise

Festival-goers can expect to see special LEGO creations, interactive performances, and exclusive merchandise sold only at the event. These are special chances for fans and collectors to celebrate their festival experience.

Tickets and Annual Passes

Tickets to the LEGO Festival 2025 may be booked in advance online, depending on location. The price of tickets varies by location. Visits are recommended to be booked in advance to guarantee availability and save money on early bird promotions. LEGOLAND Resorts also sells annual passes, which provide all-year access as well as special perks for repeat visitors.
