Universal Orlando Resort is about to introduce its most lavish venture yet: Epic Universe. Opening on May 22, 2025, this extensive theme park covers over 750 acres and presents five uniquely themed lands that promise their own immersive experience.

Super Nintendo World: Jump Into the Game

Guests from all age groups are about to step into the bright-colored chaos of the Super Mario world within the Super Nintendo World. Interactive games, character meet-and-greets, and exciting attractions will include Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure. Using Power-Up Bands, guests will interact with the environment, collect coins, and compete for high scores, just like in the games.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic

Epic Universe will invoke a new chapter in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter based on the successes of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. This land will focus on the Ministry of Magic, with content from both the British and French ministries as seen in the Fantastic Beasts films. Expect huge showpieces, spell-casting, and a headline attraction that leads the guests deep into the magical bureaucracy.

How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk

The How to Train Your Dragon genre will finally have its own full-scale theme land for the first time. Guests will be able to experience a Viking village of Berk, meet dragons, and partake in family-friendly adventures, including a high-flying roller coaster that mimics flying with Toothless and Hiccup.

Dark Universe Monsters Reimagined

Epic Universe will also include Dark Universe, which pays homage to Universal’s classic movie monsters. This zone will interlace old-world gothic horror with futuristic science inspired by characters like Frankenstein’s monster and Dracula, and The Wolfman. Atmospheric rides and haunting encounters are in store for the courageous.

Celestial Park The Central Hub

Epic Universe’s heart is represented by Celestial Park, a vast hub that is meant to tie the lands together. It will include beautiful gardens, interactive water features, and multiple dining and retail offerings. The park’s layout, with its deliberate emphasis on open exploration, will invite leisurely strolls and, by virtue of that, lessen crowding-associated tension as compared to more tightly directive linear designs.

Epic Ambitions, Epic Innovation

Universal stressed that Epic Universe will display advanced technologies of all sort-from augmented reality interactions and next-gen ride systems through immersive audio and lighting effects responding to guest movement. There will also be a new on-site hotel, enabling guests to rest fully immersed in the excitement.

Epic Universe marks a bold leap forward for the Universal Orlando Resort and for the theme park industry as a whole. With its mixture of beloved franchises, pioneering attractions, and believable worlds, Epic Universe is poised to become a bucket-list destination for travel buffs and thrill-seekers alike.
